The book's aim
I have three main goals for this book:
to tell a different story
To change the narrative around this subject. To share real women's stories: that acknowledge the ugly, weird - and often distressing - truth about experiencing infertility and/or pregnancy loss.
As well as the amazing camaraderie and friendships found along the way.
TO CELEBRATE MY FELLOW ÜBER BARRENS
To celebrate the sisterhood, solidarity and support fostered by this community of sensational women - and the men who go through this journey with them.
To pay tribute to the magnificent wit, dark humour, and extraordinary bonds that are formed with people you’ve never met, but who know exactly how you feel.
To provide support
And hopefully in doing so, to provide support to anyone else going through what can be a living nightmare - and to help them feel less alone.
